We have lots of hawks around, but they are hard to photograph.  I usually see them when I’m in the car.  I have tried to see them from the house, but normally they are just soaring over the pasture and too quick or too far away to photograph.  A couple days ago I finally got this shot of one.  Too bad you cant really tell what it is.


Today he cooperated and came a little closer.  If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see his chest feathers ruffling in the frigid winds.  I am sure he was puffing them up to stay warm too.


As you can see below, we are still in the deep freeze.  This is our living room window.


Heck no I didnt go outside to take the picture!  I stayed in our new studio and took it looking thru the studio window.
