A blizzard week

Jan 2… another day of lots more snow.  I think we got 8 or 10 inches in the last 24 hours.  Who is counting at this point?  Steve has tried to keep up with the shoveling of the patios and doorways… but the car and truck will both need to be dug out tomorrow.  AFTER the tractor gets dug out.  Because he needs the tractor to make a path down the driveway.

the patio (below) had been shoveled an hour before this photo was taken.  Steve has to shovel it just to get out to the wood pile so he can bring more wood to the house in the wheelbarrow.

Even the birds were hunkered down, trying to stay warm.  They appreciated the feeders being filled.

I spent much of the day working on the NY Mystery quilt.  It is no longer a mystery.  I hated the combo of fabrics I had chosen, so replaced 2 fabrics before I got too far along.  It is better, but not great.  This may end up as a charity quilt.  At least it kept me warmer thinking of far places like Indonesia, Samoa or Micronesia.

Weather forcast is 8 more days of snow.  Every.  single. day. more. snow.

My personal forcast is 8 more days of sweats and jammies.
